OmniAudio v0.0.42 is officially released, featuring conversational podcasts and random voice options, with comprehensive user experience optimizations to provide better choices for users with different listening preferences.

New Features

Conversational Podcasts (Currently English Only)

Building on our existing solo podcast format, we’ve introduced “Conversational Podcasts” mode, perfect for users who prefer dialogue-style listening. This mode presents a two-person conversation structure, creating a more interactive listening experience. Currently available in English, with other language versions in planning.

New Random Voice Option

When users select the “Random Voice” option, the system automatically selects from multiple high-quality voices while avoiding repeated use of the same voice. This feature helps increase listening variety while maintaining the flexibility of manual voice selection.

AI Processing Capability Upgrade

We’ve optimized our AI Agent’s processing workflow, making it more stable and efficient when parsing structurally complex or messy web pages and texts. This improvement enhances information extraction accuracy and makes generated podcast scripts perform better in terms of logical structure and language fluency.

User Experience Optimizations

  • Direct style, voice, and speed settings when creating podcasts, no need to enter additional pages
  • Voice information now includes real names and gender display, organized by gender groups
  • Web-based podcast playlist supports partial refresh, automatically updating after adding new tasks

New Chinese Interface Support

Both the web version and browser extension now support Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese interfaces, switchable as needed.

These updates are just the beginning - we’ll continue iterating and optimizing. The web version update is now live, and you can immediately experience the latest features. Meanwhile, the browser extension has also been updated - install or update it from the Chrome Web Store.
